I’m Traci Morby, a hairstylist and makeup artist from Kansas City. Beauty is my passion and I can’t imagine doing anything else with my career. In the salon I specialize in color and extensions. My favorite color techniques include hair painting and balayage. After searching for a hair extension method that I love, I found Natural Beaded Rows. This is an amazing method for hair extensions. There is no tape, glue, or braids. My true passion is weddings. There is nothing better than working together with a bride to create the perfect look on her wedding day.

On the weekend I spend my time on location working with brides and bridal parties. I do hair and makeup for the big day. I do a wide range of styles, from old Hollywood waves to a romantic updo. For makeup I prefer to use airbrush makeup for the wedding party. It goes on flawless and lasts 18hours. It looks amazing in photos and is stress free as it doesn’t require any touch ups throughout the day.

Cold winter months are hard on your hair. To keep your hair wedding ready, you will need a routine. I recommend regular salon visits to trim the ends and weekly conditioning treatments at home to all of my brides. Keep in mind that using hot water can cause hair to loose moisture, so try to rinse with cooler water during the winter.

We all know the summer sun can be hard on our skin. Most people don’t realize our hair also needs protected. Look to purchase hair products that protect against UVA and UVB rays. The sun’s rays can cause your hair color to fade faster and steal moisture from your hair.

Even through the wedding will only last a day, the pictures from that day will last a lifetime. Looking your absolute best is crucial. Even if you think you can handle your own hair and makeup, I still suggest hiring a professional. Someone who specializes in wedding hair will know how to get the exact look you want and make it last all day. Makeup needs to be beautiful in person and photograph well. Plus, being pampered and having one less thing to worry about will be well worth it!

The morning of your wedding should be fun and relaxed. The planning is done and the day is finally here! She enjoys helping brides relax on their big day while she creates their dream look. Traci does both hair and makeup. After eight years in the wedding industry she realized it was time to expand and grow a team. The Pretty Bride Co. was AMAZING for my wedding! I have a problem telling people that I don't like what they've done, but at my hair and make up trial Traci would not accept my polite answers. She kept asking me if I was sure until I cracked and told her I didn't like something. She redid my hair and makeup until I was in love with them and gushing! She ever helped me pinpoint what I didn't like when I couldn't put my finger on it. On the day of, the entire team was so calm and fun to be around! At the end, the wrong lip color accidentally got put on me. It wasn't a huge difference, but a bit more beige than my planned color. Even though we were past our contracted time, the team insisted on taking off the lip color and putting on the correct one. I was a little unsure about whether the prices would be worth it, but they SO WERE! Having a wedding in the July heat, I was sweating like CRAZY, but my updo stayed in place all night and didn't frizz up. Thanks to The Pretty Bride Co. I can honestly say, I've never felt prettier than I did on my wedding day! They are truly AMAZING. Same goes for my bridesmaids and mothers...the whole wedding party looked incredible and the compliments were endless. Not only are they amazing at what they do, hair and makeup lasted all day, they are communicative, punctual, and SO fun! They fit right in with you and your friends and are the perfect team to start your wedding day off right. I am beyond happy with their services and would give them 10 stars if I could!

Traci and The Pretty Bride Co. were amazing. I got married in Vail, CO and knew I wanted Traci to do hair and makeup. She willing drove out to the mountains to do the hair and makeup for my bridal party. She did an amazing job with everyone and worked very fast and diligently. Working with her and her team throughout my planning process was a dream and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. She listens to what you want and is wonderful at her craft.
