You just said your I Do’s and now you are ready to exit the church with the excitement of the guests on either side of you as you make your way to the get-away car. But wait, the church has restrictions on real flower petals, rice, bird seed, and sparklers- now what is there to do? Wedding wands are the answer. Not only are they simple to make, but they also are fun for guests to twirl around and make the rejoicing sound of bells ringing as you walk through them. With just four easy steps, you can make your own wedding wands, fully customized with your wedding colors.
Materials you will need:
- Ribbon’s of your choice
- Bamboo Dowel Rods
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- 9mm Jingle Bells (optional)
Steps in making wedding wands:
Begin with cutting 2-3 ribbons approximately 10 inches long.
Use the hot glue gun to glue all of the ribbons together at the end.
Once ribbons have dried, use the glue gun to apply glue near the top of the bamboo stick and place the ribbons on there.
Place a small amount of glue to the very top of the bamboo stick and place your jingle bell at the top. (Or tie the bell to the loose end of the ribbon so it dangles, this creates more noise).
