I haven’t even had my wedding yet (thanks COVID!) but I feel so strongly about how lucky I am to have Kyle and Melissa as my photographers that I felt compelled to write this review early. First of all, our engagement photos back in September 2019 blew. us. away. They spent three hours with us and we came away with artistic and unique downtown photos that look like they should be in a magazine. They made us feel so at ease all night and the comfortable memories behind the photos made them that much sweeter. Secondly, let’s talk pandemic. We’ve changed our wedding from July 2020 to April 2021 to August 2021. My fiancée and I are both doctors and the last thing we wanted was for our wedding to become a super spreader event. Kyle and Melissa have never once made us feel guilty for doing so. On the contrary, they are so supportive and ask “how can we help make this time easier for you guys?”. With other vendors, I’ve lost my deposit. Other vendors have asked for more money and make me feel guilty for inconveniencing them. On the contrary, Kyle and Melissa roll with the punches and try to make the best of the situation. They run their business with integrity. Pick these two as your photographers and you will not be disappointed. They are world class photographers but even better human beings.

My Husband and I absolutely LOVE Kyle and Melissa! They are two of the nicest people we know, and the photos they took for us, AMAZING!!! They were more then willing to travel to Columbia Missouri to take our spectacular engagement photos, and were willing to meet with us in St. Louis for wedding planning so we did not have to drive across the state. We were very comfortable with them, so on our wedding day they blended in and we didn't even think twice about it. They did an amazing job chronicling our wedding, from the start to the end of the day. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives, and we cannot thank them enough for all they have done. Worth every penny!

Kyle and Melissa are two of the most hard-working, talented and compassionate people you'll ever meet. My wife and I planned our wedding in just over 4 months and went all out with it. After reading about Rivas Photography and then meeting with Kyle and Melissa, we were sold on them as people and fully trusted their guidance leading up to our special day. They more than exceeded our expectations with the quality of their photos for the Engagement session (which we weren't going to do, but they insisted it would be worth it, and they were right), and the wedding photos are pure artwork that we will proudly display for the rest of our lives. Beyond their incredible work, they go above and beyond with additional surprises to make every part of the planning process a memorable experience. We highly recommend Rivas for your engagement and wedding photos, and I know we will continue to use them for future family photos as well.
