Bring on all of the bubbles, because this cathedral exit is an architectural dream! In shades of light blue, whites, and navy, this timeless wedding at The Madrid is one that we couldn’t pass sharing with you.
But before we dive into the photos that relive the day, let’s meet the couple. Cooper and Carly became acquaintances during college through mutual friends. But the love connection wasn’t immediate – it wasn’t until after college that they ran into each other at a bar and started dating.
Cooper planned a timeless proposal at Union Station on October 3, 2020. And as Carly said yes to a life-long adventure with Cooper, family and friends were waiting nearly by to immediately celebrate the engagement with a dinner and party. Just under a year later, Cooper and Carly sealed the deal as they exchanged vows at Our Lady of Sorrows in downtown Kansas City.
The reception was held at the historical Madrid Theatre – which happens to be the first air-conditioned theater in Kansas City. From the detail of the church altar to the immaculate ceiling at the reception – Cooper and Carly’s wedding was as delicately detailed as could be. And while everything inside you feels that September should look like a fall wedding, this one illuminated more like a Spring affare.
