Mildale Farm consists of 22 acres nestled in the Southwest corner of Johnson County. The secluded and intimate setting this property provides will leave you and your guests with lasting memories! As you drive up the brick driveway the gorgeous well-manicured grounds will welcome you. There are two homes on the property that allow you to host 12 overnight guests. The Estate House is 3,300 square feet with a large patio picture perfect for a rehearsal dinner and ceremony! The Cottage House is 1,200 square feet and allows for the most charming backdrop throughout the weekend.

The Equestrian Barn is 8,600 square feet which can accommodate a reception of up to 300 people. It also allows for an indoor ceremony if weather is permitting! The gorgeous peg construction, cupula and brick floors create the perfect vibe for your reception!

As a unit, we navigate all event rentals at Mildale Farm, The Event Space at the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center and The Rosewood at Meadowbrook Park.

Betsy Smith, specifically handles the day-to-day communication with couples for Mildale Farm. Her calm demeanor, professionalism and enthusiasm will welcome you on the property. She will guide you throughout the rental process and ensure your experience is positive!

REVIEWS

We had an absolute amazing time throwing our wedding at Mildale! Having the venue for multiple days was so useful and we got to enjoy it with our family and friends the whole weekend. It was a beautiful weekend, and I could not recommend it enough! Only downside (and it's small) is that there are no freezers at the reception site to store ice, so we had our wedding party donate their coolers and stored ice in those. Hopefully in the near future they can get a freezer there, but otherwise it was great 🙂

Mildale was the most beautiful venue. It was perfect having the whole property for the weekend. We were able to have a relaxed rehearsal on Friday because of the option they gave us to have the property from Thursday to Monday morning. It is a beautifully kept property, with so many options available for your big day. We did our ceremony at the Estate and our reception at the barn and it was perfect. Could not recommend it more. The staff was responsive & easy to work with as well. Also, this venue photographs beautifully. No complaints here!

Betsy is the Facility Rental Coordinator, and she is the one I did all of my communication with when it came to questions regarding the venue. Betsy was quick to respond, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I attended so many open houses and would bring friends/family to help with my “vision” and she would always greet us with a big smile. We did have the facility from Thursday-Monday of that weekend. You are in charge of set up. If I’m being honest, I didn’t mind that part of it. It allowed me to have a say in how I wanted the venue decorated and since we had the time, we didn’t feel rushed. The grounds, barn, cottage, and estate house are all kept in pristine condition (biggest bummer is we couldn’t bring our dog. Probably a blessing in disguise looking back at how busy we were). The only thing I didn’t realize when booking our wedding date was that it was still too cold to have any flowers planted in the pots. We just bought some fake ones for the pots at the altar so it wouldn’t look so bare. The estate house and cottage come with a fully stocked kitchen. Mildale Farm has endless photo opportunities. The barn has plenty of bathroom stalls. Once you check in they provide you with a phone number to contact in case you need help with something, and maintenance will be onsite in a timely manner. All in all, I was impressed with the venue and all it had to offer. They helped make my dream come true.
