Welcome to Tom’s Town Distilling Co., the premier Kansas City Distillery where history and craftsmanship unite to create exceptional spirits. Inspired by the infamous era of Prohibition and the notorious political boss Tom Pendergast, our distillery pays homage to the rebellious spirit and vibrant energy of the Roaring Twenties.

We offer three different and very unique event spaces. We have a large top floor event space that holds up to 200 guests standing (150 seated) with amazing views of the Kauffman Performing Arts center, and downtown KC. Our second space is our Pendergast Lounge which holds up to 40 guests standing. This space is a beautiful cozy room with leather couches, a fireplace and smaller tables and chairs, perfect for more intimate groups. Our third room is located in our basement which we have converted into a true speakeasy! This room holds up to 50 guests and a private bartender.

MEET THE OWNERS

David is a fifth generation Kansas Citian. He was drawn back from New York by Kansas City’s recent cultural and entertainment boom to create a place where Jay Gatsby, Tom Pendergast, and Charlie Parker would be happy to belly up to the bar.

Steve has lived in the KC area his whole life. He’s a serial entrepreneur who is excited to introduce a new brand that shows the country what Kansas City creativity can do.

My now husband and I hosted our intimate wedding at Tom's Town on 10/16 and are still gushing at how amazing the experience was! We were able to more than comfortably host 75 guest in the Rickenbacker space. I would highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a unique, intimate wedding experience that really makes you feel like a part of the KC community. The pricing of venue, food and bar packages were incredibly reasonable for the quality provided. Our guests were totally wowed by the ambiance, food and amazing drinks.We can't wait to be able to celebrate our Anniversaries and other important life moments as Tom's Town as they made the start of our married lives a beautiful party to remember. From start to finish, Tom's Town exceeded my expectations. We hosted our son and future daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner in the Rickenbacker Room. The room can hold up to 200 people and I was afraid our group of 40 would feel out of place in the large space, but not so. We got couches and chairs and rugs and created comfy, unique spots to converse and visit. The view from the windows, the lighting, the furniture, room decor all combined for a breathtaking event! The best part was working with the Tom's Town staff. Britney was professional and responsive to my every need. The food was terrific, and the staff that actually took care of us the evening of our event - AMAZING. Friendly, helpful, professional. Cory, the Event Captain was a pleasure to work with. He anticipated our needs and allowed me to be able to enjoy the evening. This was the most stress-free event I have ever hosted and it was only because I was in the reliable hands of the Tom's Town crew. I would HIGHLY recommend and if I ever get an opportunity to host another event, I would go back to them in a heart beat!
