We provide finely crafted spirits, innovative cocktails, and memorable events and experiences, including four unique bar restaurants, daily tours and tastings, and a 40-foot slide! Established in 1887 and reborn in 2014, we provide finely crafted spirits, innovative cocktails, and memorable events and experiences, including four unique bar-restaurant, daily tours and tastings, and a 40-foot slide!

Within our Distillery, we offer several of our turn-key spaces for use for private events. These spaces have everything needed to host an elevated, memorable, and unique experience for your guests. Our inclusive event packages take the stress and time out of event planning and allow for a seamless event in a space unlike anywhere else in Kansas City.

ATRIUM

About: This glass-enclosed room makes for an incredibly unique event experience. With fully operable windows opening to the Electric Park Garden Bar, this space can be transformed to have an open-air feel. Add the Tasting Room for larger parties or a connected reception area. It is ideal for seated dinners, cocktail hours, and welcome parties.

THE MONOGRAM LOUNGE PRIVATE DINING ROOM

Capacity: 65 cocktail-style, 50 seated

About: With the draw of a heavy velvet curtain, the Monogram Lounge can be sectioned off into a smaller venue, ideal for more intimate gatherings. The Private Dining Room in the Monogram Lounge boasts floor-to-ceiling views of the distillery production floor, original hardwoods from 1901, and beautifully curated lounge and dining furniture.

As the Director of Private Events at J. Rieger & Co., Alix brings 10+ years of hospitality and event experience to the Kansas City event scene. Her attention to detail and passion for creating the best guest experiences make her one of the premier event directors in Kansas City. She loves to show off the beautiful and historic building we call home.

Event Manager Jessica Baker has quickly climbed the ranks at J. Rieger over the last two and a half years after starting as a server. Now she is the distillery’s head planner and oversees the Event Operations team. She loves to add special touches to weddings, birthdays, and milestone celebrations.

Our Events Captains are here to help you every step of the way during your event, whether you’re a first-time host or a seasoned party planner. Their professionalism, preciseness, and love for the Rieger brand and history make this team unlike any other.

What a fun venue and event!! Our family and friends had so much fun at J. Rieger for my son and future DIL’s (now she’s my DIL) rehearsal dinner!! When I walked into the room it looked amazing the candles were lit on the centerpieces and it was beautiful. There were so many positive comments about it! My friend Colleen came early to help with set up and kept saying how helpful the staff was to her while she was doing final prep!! The staff was right there to help get the audio set up for the slide show to having the microphone available for speaking was flawless. The food was amazing from Jack Stacks so delicious!! We had a lot of out of state travelers and they enjoyed having KC barbeque. The room was set up perfectly for going through the buffet line!! The bar service was top notch they were very friendly and accommodating and the drink selection was so fun!! Of course the kids and adults loved going down the slide which is an extra fun part of going to J. Rieger. The desserts were super good too and I loved how they were set up on the dessert table. Thank you Jessica for all your help it was a wonderful event!!

Everything was amazing! The event space, the wait staff and the food were beyond what I had expected. I have never had so many people tell me how excellent a meal was. Thank you for everything and we will be back!
