Emerald has been a favorite wedding color for many seasons, so when we saw this winter wedding at the Historic Muehlebach Hotel Lobby we instantly fell in love. Plus, winter weddings aren’t as popular in the midwest, so there are few and far between weddings to build inspiration off of for this (chilly) time of year.

The historical element of this wedding make it a true gem. The old lobby was adorned in greenery from the lighting, making it an elegant canopy over the ceremony. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a romantic reception before ringing in the New Year. New Year’s Resolution? Start a beautiful marriage.

THE LOVE STORY

WEDDING DATE: December 31, 2021

HOW THEY MET: Brennan and Lexi met on Bumble in 2016, just two months before Lexi moved abroad for work. Right before leaving, and after only two months of knowing each other, Brennan booked a flight to England. And well, the rest is history.

THE PROPOSAL: Brennan proposed first with a sentimental cupcake Spider-Man ring (the plastic rings that top cupcakes) in the living room. Later that day, Brennan proposed again with a more traditional ring and Lexi said yes! After that, Lexi returned with her own proposal and ring for Brennan.

A SPECIAL TOUCH: Being New Years Eve, the couple orchestrated a midnight balloon drop for all of their guests. It was the perfect way to end the night and start the year!
