If you first glance at Haley and Rob’s wedding you would think that it was held during the springtime. The colors are so light and airy. But then as you look closer you notice that the leaves are changing color and bringing a whole new element to their wedding day. This venue is so unique because it has so many different areas for wedding events and photos – so join us as we take a look at Haley and Rob’s chapel wedding at Hawthorne House!
The day started with the girls having a blast inside the newly renovated bridal suite – one of our favorite locations being the mural wall which compliments the most gorgeous pictures. Once the bridal party was all dressed, they explored the grounds with their photographer, capturing all of the beauty of Hawthorne House in the fall.
The ceremony was held at the on-site chapel – one of the few chapels in Kansas City that aren’t designated to a certain religion. After the ceremony, guests walked across a bridge overlined by trees to find the reception building. It is straight out of a Southern Charm movie – a rolling lawn of perfect landscaping, a large wrap-around porch, and timeless beauty inside. What a special day for these too at one of the most special venues in Kansas City!
THE LOVE STORY
WEDDING DATE: November 7, 2020
HOW THEY MET: We first met in elementary school and grew up in just a couple streets apart. However, it wasn’t until junior high that I received the first AIM message from the screen name, rhrockchalk22. I guess the rest is history!
PERSONAL PIECES: I tied a necklace that has been passed down to each bride in my family for generations around my bouquet and carried it with me.
FAVORITE WEDDING DAY MEMORY: My favorite part was the ceremony. I had pictured in my head what it might feel like, but the real thing was so much better. – Rob
My favorite was the short time between the ceremony and reception, the nerves were gone and we got to take a breath and celebrate. – Haley
