Other Events You Won’t Forget: Engagement Party

Plan that wedding, but don’t forget the other events you won’t forget: engagement party! The engagement party is the official kick-off of your wedding journey. And whether you rent a gathering space or host the event in a backyard, there are only a few things that you need to celebrate properly – good food, tasty drinks, and your loved ones. Incorporate a theme if you want (we went tropical) or simply focus on your favorite foods and/or a specialty drink. There is no standard you have to meet, so hire a few vendors to bring special elements to your event and then sit back and enjoy the excitement of your engagement.

Give your guests a fun activity to participate in while at the event. We created a large crossword puzzle for the guests to fill in the couple’s first date location, dog’s name, or favorite restaurant. Mad libs are another entertaining (and funny) activity that is easy to incorporate. 

This shoot was a great opportunity to work on something new with wedding vendors that we’ve seen in main stream wedding design. We got to collaborate on something fresh and fun with a tropical twist, which being in the midwest is a treat in of itself.
