This inspiration shoot strived to convey one thing: that a barn can be so much more than rustic. Nailed it! The tropical flowers and fruits tell such a bright and lively story. A story that much more vibrant than the usual burlap with mason jars tells. The florist behind this shoot, Bergamot & Ivy, did an outstanding job of bringing beach loving vibes to this tropical barn wedding in Kansas City!
Behind the Scenes: This shoot was shot on a bone-chilling day in November. So, the bride is holding hand warmers around her bouquet to help her channel warm vibes.
The Bouquet
The bouquet became a staple piece for this shoot. The bright and bold blooms helped to offset the worn wood of the barn. Any bride can make a statement with the flowers they choose to hold, and our bride really made sure we all knew this was to be a tropical barn wedding in Kansas City.
Cake Design
The cake had to be just as bold and beautiful as the rest of the shoot, but we wanted for it to be artistic as well. Mary, the owner of Cardinal Cake Company took the geometric design from the plate and incorporated it into one of the tiers of the wedding cake. This helps to break up the color while adding a touch of metallic and some geometric fun.
